Thanksgiving day is one of the biggest festivals in America. It is no less important than Christmas. Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November every year. This year i.e. in 2020 it is falling on 26 November. A government holiday is observed all over America on Thanksgiving Day. The beginning of the long festive season towards the end of the year is considered to be starting from this day which lasts till New Year. This festival is celebrated not only in America, but also in Canada, Philippines, St. Lucia and the Netherlands. The holiday was started by George Washington in 1789 on Thanksgiving Day.
