The 93rd Academy Awards will be held on 25th April, 2021. India has also announced its official entry for the Oscars. This time Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Malayalam film ‘Jallikattu’ will be sent as the official entry. This decision was taken by a 14-member committee of the Film Federation of India. Jallikattu has been sent in the Best International Feature Film Foreign Language category. Announcing the same, Federation’s jury board chairman Rahul Rawail said that this film actually brings out the problems that are in humans and that humans are worse than animals.
