The Lallantop is closely covering the Farmers protest happening in and around Delhi. Farmers unions are demanding from the union government to roll back the newly enacted farm act, 2020, amendments in the electricity act, 2003 and ordinance for air quality management in NCR+ region. Farmers’ unions are claiming that these are anti-people, anti-farming laws which must be repealed immediately. Whereas, Govt- right from the PM Narendra Modi to HM Amit Shah, RM Rajnath Singh and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar are giving assurance to farmers and are stating that ‘these acts are for the betterment of farmers and farming.’
Farmers coming from Punjab and from other states are terming these laws as black laws. Farmer leaders are claiming that BJP govt is just extending the Monmohan Singh era policies and it is not different.
