All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee leader VM Singh said his organisation is withdrawing from the ongoing farmers’ protest with immediate effect. The Bhartiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) too has announced its withdrawal from the protest.

“We did not come to defame January 26 event. We supported their agitation but look at what happened yesterday,” VM Singh said.

He went on to add, “Rakesh Tikait [BKU leader] never spoke about sugarcane farmers’ issues. He never discussed their pain in the meeting with the government.”

This would mean that the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) has withdrawn from the farmers’ agitation against Centre’s three new farm laws.
