In the Pre-Match Press Conference on the eve of first ODI match to be against West Indies, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that Ishan Kishan will open the innings with him as there is no other option left as Mayank Agarwal is in isolation. On the other hand, KL Rahul is also not available for the first ODI. Earlier this week seven members of the India’s squad were found Covid positive including four players namely Shikhar Dhawan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer and stand-by Navdeep Saini. This will be the first occasion when Ishan will open the inning in ODI format.
