Karnataka Hijab Campus Row: Udupi’s Bhandarkar College has denied entry for girls in hijab. Former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti has condemnee the decision. Earlier, several students wore saffron stoles and protested against certain students wearing hijabs in the classroom. A series of protests have been carried out at at least four colleges in Karnataka since last month.The first incident took place in the coastal town of Udupi on January 1, 2022.
