PM CARES Fund: Bombay High Court has served a notice to Narendra Modi government regarding PM CARES Fund and asked about the details of its expense on Coronavirus COVID-19 relief. In the petition, Lawyer Waghmare said that the government should give information about all the money deposited in this fund. So that ordinary people can see it. Also, the calculation of the PM CARES fund should also be done. The task of investigation should be given to the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, ie CAG. Also, there should be two members of the opposition parties in the trust set up for the fund.
The Government of India also responded during the hearing on the petition. Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh appeared on behalf of the government and opposed getting the fund checked. Singh also appealed to dismiss the petition. Watch the video for more details.
