In a recent incident from Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, a series of temple bell thefts led to an intense police pursuit. Following reports of multiple temple bell thefts, police had been on the lookout for suspects. On Diwali morning, an encounter broke out when officers tried to stop a group of bikers linked to the thefts. One of the suspects, Shanu, was injured in the leg during the chase and later apprehended. Sambhal SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi visited Shanu in the hospital, where he delivered a strong message, saying that next time, the bullet might not aim for the leg but the head.
