Communal tensions have escalated in Karnataka following allegations of religious profiling during exams. In Shivamogga, two CET aspirants were asked to remove their janeu before entering the exam hall. In Bedar, a student was reportedly stopped from taking a math exam for refusing to cut or remove his janeu. FIRs have been filed in both cases.
