A CRPF vehicle met with an accident near the Kandawa area and Basantgarh region of Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir. Two CRPF personnel died, and fifteen others were injured. The vehicle, a CRPF bunker vehicle, fell into a deep gorge. Twenty-three CRPF personnel were on board. Locals and the local police are conducting rescue operations, and the injured are being rushed to nearby hospitals. The CRPF movement in the area is related to the deployment of personnel due to the presence of terrorists in the upper reaches of the Jammu region. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh is monitoring the situation and is in touch with the local administration. The exact reason for the vehicle falling into the gorge is not yet known.
