Initial suspicions arose from discrepancies between opinion/exit polls and final results, alongside a sudden surge of voters in Maharashtra’s electoral rolls. Concerns were heightened by the Election Commission’s alleged lack of cooperation in providing digital voter rolls and its reported intent to destroy CCTV footage and voter lists. The probe focused on Karnataka, specifically the Mahadevapura constituency, where a lead of one lakh fourteen thousand votes raised questions. The investigation identified a ‘one lakh two hundred fifty vote theft’ executed through five distinct methods: duplicate voters, fake and invalid addresses, bulk voters at single addresses, invalid photos, and misuse of Form 6. These findings highlight a pattern of alleged manipulation in the electoral process.
