The victim belonged to the Sindhi community and the accused to the Muslim community. Angered parents, Hindu groups, and ABVP activists gathered, vandalizing school property and assaulting staff members. Protesters allege severe negligence by the school, claiming the injured student received no aid. Parents also stated they had previously warned the school about students carrying knives.
