Supreme Court has ordered Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina and other comedians to issue an unconditional apology on their YouTube channels for mocking persons with disabilities. The Court clarified that content made for profit is *commercial speech, not free speech. Influencers must also file an affidavit on how they will spread awareness about disability rights. The Court warned that heavy fines may follow and directed the I&B Ministry to frame strict guidelines for social media influencers.
