An internal conflict has emerged within the BRS party over the Kaleshwaram project. K Kavitha has accused her cousin and former minister, D Harish Rao, of having a tacit understanding with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to damage the reputation of her father, K Chandrasekhar Rao. She also alleged that Harish Rao, along with ex-Rajya Sabha MP Megha Krishna Reddy, contributed to the corruption allegations against KCR. This occurs as the Kaleshwaram project is now under a CBI probe ordered by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who alleged large-scale misuse of public funds under the BRS regime. Defending her father, Kavita stated that KCR will emerge “pure as a pearl” from the CBI inquiry and described the project as a great asset.
