In Bihar’s Sitamarhi district, a severe water crisis is creating major challenges for local residents—leaving many not just troubled, but truly shocked. Ironically, this region was once known for frequent flooding just a few years ago. Today, blocks like Parihar, Bokhara, Nanpur, Bajpatti, Sonbarsa, and Pupri are facing extreme water shortages.
The situation is especially dire in areas that are still waiting for access to the government’s tap water scheme. In the absence of this essential infrastructure, daily life has become a struggle for countless families.
