The BJP has accused the YSRCP’s Jagan government of a scam involving temple donations at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), alleging irregularities of up to ₹100 crore. To support the claim, the party released CCTV footage from June 23, 2023, which purportedly shows an individual named Ravi Kumar stealing money from the ‘Parakamani’ or counting area. TTD board member Bhanuprakash Reddy stated, “hundred crores Parakamani scam had taken place during YSRCP period”. Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh also attacked the YSRCP, accusing the Jagan government of looting people’s money. The BJP alleges that the money, stolen over years, was invested in real estate. The controversy also brings up mentions of a prior ‘Laddu case’ at the temple.
