जिले के कैसरगंज और मझारा तौकली इलाके में भेड़िए के खौफ से दहशत का माहौल बरकरार है. शुक्रवार को रोहित पुरवा में एक भेड़िए के मारे जाने की खबर सामने आई, लेकिन इस पर भी वन विभाग के अधिकारियों के बयान अलग-अलग सामने आए हैं. कैसरगंज रेंजर ने दावा किया कि भेड़िए को गोली मार दी गई है, जबकि डीएफओ ने बताया कि भेड़िया मृत अवस्था में मिला और पोस्टमार्टम के बाद ही मौत की असली वजह साफ होगी. लेकिन अभी भी गांव वालों का कहना है कि इलाके में अब भी दो भेड़िए घूम रहे हैं.
