This special report focuses on the ninth edition of the grand Deepotsav in Ayodhya, led by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During the celebrations, CM Yogi stated, ‘Every diya reminds us that truth can be troubled but never defeated.’ The city is set to create another Guinness World Record by lighting more than 26 lakh earthen lamps across 56 ghats on the banks of the Saryu river. The spectacular event, which marks the homecoming of Lord Ram, involves over 33,000 volunteers and features a synchronised Maha Aarti by 2,100 Vedic scholars, a drone show, and laser projections depicting scenes from the Ramayana. The festivities this year also incorporate modern technology, including an AI-based crowd intelligence system and a virtual participation app, solidifying Ayodhya’s status as a global spiritual and cultural hub.
