Tense face-off between students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), led by the left-affiliated All India Students’ Association (AISA), and the Delhi Police. The AISA alleged that the JNUSU president and several other students had been ‘brutally beaten up’ when they attempted to march to the police station. The Saturday protest was organized to demand the registration of an FIR against the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for alleged violence during a campus clash on October 15.
