A 19-year-old man clashed with police personnel after they raided a high-profile party held to celebrate his businessman father’s birthday at a hotel in Gujarat’s Surat. A video of the incident went viral on social media, showing the teenager getting out of the car and trying to snatch the phone of a police official before he was restrained. According to Nidhi Thakur of Surat City Police, police received information about a liquor party at a hotel and alcohol being brought in a car outside the building. Police also got a tip-off that there were several high-profile attendees at the party, and subsequently arrested the teen and his father, Sameer Shah.
