A shocking case of sexual harassment involving members of the Australian women’s cricket team has been reported from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place on the morning of Thursday, October 23, outside a hotel on Khajrana Road where the team was staying for the Women’s World Cup. According to police reports, two female players were walking to a nearby café when two men on a motorcycle began following them. One of the men allegedly touched a player inappropriately before fleeing the scene. The players immediately informed their security officer, who alerted local police. An FIR was registered under Sections 74 (assault on a woman) and 78 (stalking), and one accused, Akil Khan, was arrested. A video later surfaced showing him injured, with bandages on one leg and hand. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla condemned the incident, calling it unfortunate and promising stricter safety measures in future.
