The deal involves the purchase of 16 JF-17 fighter jets, which were jointly developed by Pakistan and China. Pakistan has struck a major defense deal with Libya under which Islamabad will sell weapons and military equipment worth over $4 billion to the Libyan National Army. This information was reported by Reuters, citing four Pakistani officials. This deal is one of Pakistan’s largest arms sales ever. The deal was signed last week during a meeting between Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, Saddam Khalifa Haftar, in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi.
