Makar Sankranti is a festival of joy and kite flying, but this year, it turned into a nightmare for several families. In this video, we report on the devastating impact of Chinese Manjha (synthetic kite string), which has claimed multiple lives across India despite being legally banned. From a tragic accident on a Surat flyover that wiped out an entire family of three to an 8-year-old child losing his life while playing in his apartment parking, the stories are heart-wrenching. We also look at incidents from Ajmer, Kota, and Jaunpur, where commuters and doctors suffered severe injuries or death due to these glass-coated strings. Watch the video to know more.
