कानूनी संकट की वजह से सुर्खियों में बने हुए हैं। चेक बाउंस मामले में दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद वो तिहाड़ जेल में बंद हैं।
दरअसल ये पूरा मामला 2010 का है, जब उन्होंने अपनी फिल्म Ata Pata Laapata के लिए 5 करोड़ रुपये उधार लिए थे। फिल्म फ्लॉप हुई… पैसा नहीं लौटा… और जो चेक दिए गए, वो बाउंस हो गए। कोर्ट ने सख्ती दिखाई, और अब रिहाई से पहले 9 करोड़ रुपये जमा करने की शर्त रखी गई है।
लेकिन ज्यादातर लोग यहीं सवाल पूछ रहे हैं कि
कि शाहजहांपुर में उनके पास 200 करोड़ से ज्यादा की संपत्ति है — पॉश इलाके में महंगा प्लॉट, 200 एकड़ से ज्यादा खेती की जमीन, 8 एकड़ में बन रही करोड़ों की कोठी। ऐसे में सवाल उठ रहा है — अगर संपत्ति इतनी है, तो 5 करोड़ के लिए जेल क्यों गए राजपाल यादव
उधर फिल्म इंडस्ट्री से मदद के ऐलान हो रहे हैं। कुछ नेताओं और सितारों ने लाखों-करोड़ों की लीगल सहायता देने की घोषणा की है। लेकिन ऐसा कहा जा रहा है और कई फैंस बोल रहे हैं कि अगर राजपाल चाहते तो चेक बाउंस मामले में उसकी कीमत की पहुंच चुका सकते थे, लेकिन इतनी प्रॉपर्टी होने के बावजूद ऐसा कहा जा सकता है कि पैसा चुकाने की उनकी नियत साफ नहीं थी. राजपाल यादव ने कई बार कर देने वाली कंपनी को भी पैसा चुकाने का वादा किया, लेकिन हर बार उनका वादा झूठा निकला. राजपाल यादव लगातार कोर्ट को भी गुमराह करते रहे. नाराज होकर कोर्ट ने राजपाल यादव को तिहाड़ जेल के सुपरिंटेंडेंट के सामने सरेंडर करने का आदेश दिया था. हालांकि इस बात में कितनी सच्चाई है ये तो आने वाला समय ही बताएगा..
