Adding to the friction, BJP MLA Biswajeet Phukan claimed the Congress is becoming a ‘party of Miyans’ and predicted Rakibul Hussain would soon take control. The political instability comes at a critical time as the state prepares for upcoming assembly elections, leaving the future of the Congress leadership in Assam uncertain.
