मध्य प्रदेश में जबलपुर के सिहोरा इलाके में उस वक्त हालात बेकाबू हो गए, जब दुर्गा मंदिर में आरती के दौरान लाउडस्पीकर की तेज आवाज को लेकर विशेष समुदाय से जुड़े युवकों ने मंदिर में तोड़फोड़ शुरू कर दी. विशेष समुदाय से जुड़े कई लोग इकट्ठा हुए और उन्होंने मंदिर पर पथराव करना शुरू कर दिया. हालात इस कदर बिगड़े कि कुछ ही देर में दर्जनों की तादाद में उपद्रवी हाथों में लाठी डंडे और पत्थर लेकर सड़कों पर निकले और पत्थरबाजी शुरू कर दी. पुलिस को आंसू गैस के गोले दाग स्थिति को नियंत्रित करना पड़ा.
