Intelligence sources have uncovered a terror plot by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) aimed at disrupting India’s ongoing festive season, including Ramzan and the upcoming Holi festival. The plot is reportedly an attempt by the group to avenge a blast that occurred at a mosque in Islamabad on February 6. Despite ISIS claiming responsibility for the Islamabad explosion, the Pakistani government has allegedly continued to blame India and Afghanistan, using this narrative to push forward terrorist activities. Security agencies across the national capital have been placed on high alert to ensure vigilance, especially following the international AI summit at Bharat Mandapam. Authorities are focused on preventing any infiltration or antisocial activities that could hamper India’s international reputation during this period of high global visibility. The intelligence note has been circulated to all relevant agencies to maintain extra vigilance over the coming weeks as the country celebrates major festivals.
