Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati and his disciples have been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for sexual exploitation of their disciples. The FIR, filed following a court order, also alleges exploitation during the Kumbh Mela and Magh Melas. Swami Avimukteshwarananda has called these allegations a conspiracy and demanded an impartial investigation.
