A 19-year-old biotechnology student from Tripura is fighting for her life in Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital after she alleged that her live-in partner in Gurugram beat her for three days, smashed her head against a wall, slashed her legs with a knife and then poured sanitiser on her private parts and set them on fire, even recording videos while threatening to cripple her and stop her from ever becoming a mother. The accused, 19-year-old Shivam from Delhi’s Narela, whom she met on an online dating app, has been arrested and booked under multiple serious BNS sections.
