Indian students in Tehran, Iran have appealed to the Government of India for urgent evacuation after escalating tensions and airstrikes following the US-Israel attacks. A viral video shows an Indian student describing the situation as uncertain and dangerous, requesting immediate help.
The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking safety measures and evacuation plans for Indian students, many of whom are pursuing MBBS and medical courses in Iran.
Meanwhile, the All India Medical Students Association has also urged authorities to ensure safe evacuation and return of passports submitted for residency extensions. The Indian Embassy in Iran has issued an advisory asking citizens to stay indoors, avoid unnecessary movement, and remain alert.
