Israeli airstrikes have been confirmed in Iran’s Urmia region, resulting in an explosion near a hostel that houses Indian students, including students from Kashmir. The J&K Students Association has appealed to the Indian government to immediately relocate students to safer locations, fearing further strikes by Israel could hit the hostel. The association has requested government intervention to ensure student safety. Flights have partially resumed, allowing stranded Indians in Middle East countries to return home. Indians have been moved out of Tehran, but a sizable Indian population remains in other parts of Iran. The Indian government is working to maintain contact with all Indian nationals in the region.
