Supreme Court Verdict Passive Euthanasia: इच्छा मृत्यु पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट का ऐतिहासिक फैसला, समझे पूरा मामला!
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बुधवार को इच्छामृत्यु मामले में एक ऐतिहासिक फैसला सुनाया। कोर्ट ने 13 साल से कोमा में रह रहे 31 साल के युवक हरीश राणा को इच्छामृत्यु (पैसिव यूथेनेशिया) की मंजूरी दे दी। गाजियाबाद के रहने वाले हरीश लाइफ सपोर्ट सिस्टम पर हैं।
देश में इस तरह का यह पहला मामला है। जस्टिस जेबी पारदीवाला और जस्टिस केवी विश्वनाथन की बेंच ने एम्स (AIIMS) को निर्देश दिया कि हरीश के लाइफ सपोर्ट सिस्टम को चरणबद्ध तरीके से हटाया जाए। यह प्रोसेस इस तरह से की जानी चाहिए कि मरीज की गरिमा बनी रहे।
The Supreme Court on Wednesday delivered a landmark verdict in a euthanasia case. The court granted passive euthanasia to 31-year-old Harish Rana, who has been in a coma for 13 years. Harish, a resident of Ghaziabad, is on life support.
This is the first such case in the country. A bench of Justices JB Pardiwala and KV Vishwanathan directed AIIMS to phase out Harish’s life support system. This process should be carried out in a manner that maintains the patient’s dignity.
