Iran has carried out retaliatory missile strikes on two cities in southern Israel, Arad and Dimona, causing massive damage to residential buildings and injuring dozens. In Dimona, the nuclear town of Israel, 47 people have reportedly been injured. The Israeli air defence system failed to intercept the Iranian missiles, resulting in significant damage to civilian infrastructure. Iran claims the strikes were in retaliation to an attack on the Natanz uranium enrichment facility in Iran. The International Atomic Energy Agency has clarified that there has been no radioactive leakage, as the nuclear centre in Dimona was not directly targeted. Israeli Defense Forces have stated they had no role in the Natanz facility attack but declined to comment on American activities. Firefighters and police have been deployed for rescue operations, which are still underway in both cities.
