Modi also warned that some elements may try to exploit the crisis, confirming that law enforcement agencies have been put on alert, with coastal security, border security, cyber security, and strategic installations being strengthened. The address came as Indian markets reacted negatively, with the rupee sliding against the dollar and gold and silver prices falling.
