Leaders from BJD, JDU, SP, and CPIM are attending, while the Trinamool Congress has boycotted the meeting. The government is addressing concerns and briefing parties on the evolving situation, emphasising no need to panic and highlighting diversified talks with various countries. In Tamil Nadu, actor-politician Kamal Haasan has confirmed his party will not contest the upcoming assembly elections, choosing instead to back the DMK alliance. The AIADMK released its first candidate list with Edappadi Palaniswami contesting from Edappadi in Salem, and other senior leaders retained in their constituencies. Speculation continues around DMK MP Kanimozhi potentially contesting assembly elections, with opposition parties suggesting this could affect Udhayanidhi Stalin’s position.
