Leaders from BJD, JDU, SP, and CPIM are attending the meeting. The Trinamool Congress has chosen to boycott, stating they want a detailed discussion on the floor of the house. The Congress party is represented by Tariq Anwar, with Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi not attending. The government briefing focuses on addressing concerns regarding the evolving situation in West Asia, emphasising there is no need to panic and no shortage of energy resources. The meeting follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in both houses of Parliament.
