Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Chief Ministers tomorrow evening through video conferencing to discuss the West Asia conflict and its consequences on India. The meeting focuses on synergy of efforts between the Centre and states, addressing concerns about fuel, LPG, and potential panic among citizens. Chief Ministers from poll-bound states with model code of conduct in place will not attend; instead, a separate meeting with their chief secretaries is planned. This follows an all-party meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, where the government briefed political parties on foreign policy decisions regarding the crisis. The Prime Minister recently held a meeting with ministers from various departments, including agriculture and health, to address concerns around fertiliser prices. The government aims for states to work in tandem with the Centre, similar to the coordination during COVID-19. Indian LPG shipments are expected to arrive in the coming days.
