A high-level election review meeting was held in Kolkata ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections. The meeting witnessed heated exchanges. Tensions flared when a senior election observer, IAS officer Anurag Thakur, openly challenged CEC Gyanesh Kumar. Observer Anurag Yadav had been deployed to Cooch Behar; however, following his unruly behavior towards the Election Commissioner, he was removed from his post.
