In a major development following the landmark ruling by the Raipur District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (DCDRC), political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla, through the non-political platform Team Bharat, has raised critical questions regarding India’s E20 fuel policy. The consumer court recently ordered Maruti Suzuki and its dealer NEXA Magneto to replace a 2023 Grand Vitara or refund over ₹20 lakh after official lab tests revealed engine damage caused by ethanol-blended petrol.
