The Qatar Airways’ chief, Akbar Al-Baker, sat down with Al-Jazeera to talk about the #BycottQatarAirways controversy that flared following the Gulf nations’ strong condemnation of the comments made by the now-suspended BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma, on national television. Only it is a spoof around the boycott calls by a Twitter user, Vashudev. A Twitter user took the liberty of dubbing the interview and the sarcastic tone and hilarious script have left the internet in splits. The CEO of the airline, who “fears dark days ahead”, did sit down with Qatar’s state-owned broadcaster but he sure did not speak about Vashudev’s clarion call on social media.
