Police detained several Hindu Mahasabha functionaries on Saturday after they gathered outside Lulu Mall in Lucknow and staged a protest.
Brandishing saffron flags and raising slogans, the demonstrators were met with heavy police deployment and barricading outside the mall premises. They were all taken into custody.
This comes a day after four people were arrested for reciting the Sundar Kand outside the entrance gate of Lulu Mall. They were sent to judicial custody for violating Section 144.
