The Morbi bridge, famously called the ‘Jhoolta Pul’, built more than a century ago over the Machchhu river, collapsed on October 30 evening, killing at least 133 people. Built during the British era, the cable suspension bridge had reopened to the public on the Gujarati New Year, just four days before the incident occurred. With the death toll rising since the tragedy, a CCTV video of the same has emerged showing some youngsters apparently swaying the bridge without pause, a few seconds before the bridge collapsed.
