Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off South India’s first Vande Bharat Express and inaugurated a new terminal at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. He paid floral tributes to poet-saint Kanakadasa at Vidhan Soudha on the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanti. The Prime Minister also unveiled a 108-foot statue of Bengaluru’s founder, Kempegowda.
