A case has been registered agains Irfan Solanki in an arson and property dispute. The MLA has six cases against him – five were filed during the elections over the years. One of the cases was related to serious charges, including extortion. Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Irfan Solanki and his brother Rizwan Solanki were officially arrested by the Kanpur police on Friday. Irfan Solanki, who was absconding following the issuance of a non-bailable warrant, reached the commissioner’s office to surrender earlier in the day.
