In today’s episode of Zanana Republic, Preeti Chaudhry, executive editor of India Today and Divyanshi Sumrav talk about the horrific incident of the death of a 20-year-old girl called Anjali in Delhi’s Sultanpuri. From citing the reasons of clumsy investigation led by the Delhi Police in the case to questioning those who are busy character-assassinating the victim including her so-called friend Nidhi, every major aspect of the case is discussed considering the available information.
In the second part of the episode, Preeti and Divyanshi talked about the case in which a man named Shankar Mishra peed on an elderly woman in Air India’s flight from New York to Delhi. Both victim and the accused in the case were travelling business class when the horrific incident happened. The insensitivity displayed by the Air India staff, as cited by the victim in her letter, shows how indifferent the so-called progressive, educated world is towards such happenstances that happen on a regular basis with women.
