Description – India have won their first-ever Olympic medal in athletics, courtesy of Neeraj Chopra’s Gold medal in the Javelin Throw event of the Tokyo Olympics. However, his former coach Uwe Hohn could not be forgotten as he is the only person who has thrown the javelin over 100 meters. Uwe Hohn holds the World Record in this game with his monstrous throw of 104.80 meters which he threw in the year 1984. After 30 years his record is still unbeatable. However, it is because of the fact that the javelin was redesigned in 1986. Earlier, Javelin used to land flat on the ground in most cases. Also because of such throws and small grounds, there was a danger for the runners running on the track around the field. So to eliminate these risks Javelins were started to be made keeping in mind that their center of gravity should not be at the center but a little forward. That made the Javelins fall on the ground upright and cover a lesser distance comparatively.
