– DR Congo President shuts down French president Macron at a joint press conference, Macron tries to deflect but makes it even worst. Congo’s President: “There should be respect from the West towards Africa. Don’t look at us paternalistically, believing you always know better what we need than we know ourselves.”
Macron said France would end hosting regular military bases in Africa and will instead establish “academies” to be co-run by France and host countries.
