Budget 2021: In the union budget 2021 Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the ‘vehicle scrap policy’ for vehicles that are 15 to 20 years old. Under this policy, private vehicles older than 15 years and commercial vehicles older than 20 years will have to go through a mandatory fitness test. These vehicles will only be allowed to run on the road with the required fitness certificate. Know more about this scrap policy in this video.
Union Budget 2021-22 is Nirmala Sitharaman’s third consecutive budget before the Parliament and is a challenging one as she has an enormous task of managing to bring the economy back to pre-COVID levels and to tackle the curveballs thrown by the coronavirus crisis.
