According to an RTI report, three bureaucrats from Chandigarh who went to Paris in 2015 had spent 40% more than the amount already approved for the trip. According to the report of the English newspaper Indian Express, two of these officers had issued orders themselves and approved the additional expenses incurred during the journey.
