Police have arrested Meghalaya BJP leader Bernard N Marak from Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district for running an illegal sex racket at his farmhouse, police said.
Marak, a former militant leader and a member of Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), was absconding following a police raid at the farmhouse at Tura in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills district, from where six minors were rescued and 73 people were arrested on Saturday.
